About us

Love LEGO Technic as much as we do? Learn engineering while you are building!

As the makers that we are we love to create and share our LEGO ideas with others.
We create building instructions of our own developed models from existing LEGO sets, from small to big and from easy to complex. There is always something for everyone.
Focusing on GBCs (Great Ball Contraptions) enables us to include even more smart, clever, unique, mesmerizing mechanisms into our builds. Learn about physics, mechanics, gearing, pneumatics, forces, timing, logic, mechanisms and engineering in general by building our GBC alternate models. Next we also create specific other builds varying from art machines to music players.

To make the building and learning experience even more convenient and engaging we also developed various accessories and electronics which combine well with our alternate models.
Get yourself started today in the wonderful world of engineering and take a look around on all our alternate models and accessories on our website.

Meet the Team

Philip Verbeek – Founder / Engineer

Starting with LEGO at a young age (and later LEGO Technic/Mindstorms) I became interested in technology. There’s something about moving machinery and automated mechanisms which always catches my attention. In my attempts as a kid to recreate them with LEGO I learned a lot about physics, gearing and so much more.
To share ideas and to express myself I started PV-Productions in 2011 which captions the combination of learning and engineering while building. It should be fun to learn, and what better way to have so by building!
Now we are working with advanced LEGO Technic to create the best building experiences for you to enjoy. Perfect for learning engineering at home or teaching STEAM education in schools! Technology is the drive which keeps us going.

Guus Boonen – Engineer / Product Development

Creating is the best craft there is! As a Mechanical Engineering by heart I love to come up with new innovating ideas and products. Together we go through each step of the design process and think about aspects like ergonomics, functions, user experience, aesthetics and so much more. When developing our own LEGO compatible parts it’s a real challenge to meet the high LEGO tolerances and quality. However, by using advance techniques and 3d print machinery, we can find the perfect solution for every ambitious idea, making the impossible possible.

Mark Williams – Engineer

As for most of you I always played with LEGO Technic in my younger years and even during my study Mechanical Engineering I kept using the building block to realise various projects. The variation in building complex mechanisms, sturdy constructions, planning, clean design and meeting the high LEGO design guidelines makes every build a fun new challenge. Now putting all my years of experience with the brick to the test by building, among other things, truly Great Ball Contraptions.

Ilke Eggen – Content Creator / Social Media Ninja / Workshop Guru

As a fanatic reader and story teller I love to get in touch with you to discuss all the latest and greatest in the LEGO universe.
Share your great machines with us and I will make sure you get on our online (and office) wall of fame! Follow and like us on the socials and I will speak to you soon! Or perhaps I meet you in person at one of our workshops / exhibitions. :)

Marion Fabri – Sales / Support

It’s great to work with people! I like to stay close in touch with our customers so that our communication is transparent and efficient. We always aim for the best quality and service when providing support.

Corey Schmidek – Workshop Guru / STEAM Education

As a LEGO Certified Teacher Trainer I know what to look for in STEAM educational products and GBCs are definitely one of them! Since 1991 I have been active in creating and teaching with STEAM curriculum. I have managed LEGO Education Centers, pre-engineering classes, experiential learning, Summer programs, workshops and more. E.Y.E.S. (Exceptional Youth Educational Services, co-owned an operated with Jon Reichelt) has brought many hands-on, high-level problem-solving tools and activities to teachers and students. Building and configuring Great Ball Contraptions are a great method for learning in a fun and interactive way.
