Youngsters have the future

Great Ball Contraptions are great for learning! These youngster engineers (Diana, Marlon and Joshua) build our GBC 13 Extended Belt Lift – 42042 C Model in  the GBC Workshop and explain how it works. Kids have the future!

For Sioux Technologies we organized our GBC workshops using our Great Ball Contraptions made from existing LEGO sets. Kids and parents learned about physics and mechanics in a whole new way. It was a great day!

GBC Workshops at Sioux

More than 120 children participated in the Sioux Hot-or-Not: The Next Generation workshops on 15 October 2019. This time the technical workshop was entirely devoted to building and collaborating with each other.

By popular demand we focused on the Great Ball Contraption this year. During the workshop, the children experienced what it is like to work together in project groups and to build the well-known marble track together. Each group worked on its own module that was eventually merged into a large course.

Hans Odenthal, organizer from Sioux: “With the organization of free workshops and engineering days, we want to let children experience technology by themselves. We live in a world where the role of technology becomes more and more important, but at the same time, there is also a shortage of engineers. So we must do everything we can, to fill this gap and get the engineers of the future excited.”

GBC Workshops together with Sioux Technologies

We are proud to announce that together with Sioux Technologies (Global High-Tech engineering) we are organizing Great Ball Contraptions workshops to enhance early technical education! We think GBCs are the greatest feat of LEGO engineering there is, in which you will learn about cool new mechanisms, automation, math, constructions and so much more!
 
The workshops will find place in The Netherlands at Sioux HQ on October 15th and you can register until the 2th of October. (Age 7-14) Will we see you there? :)
