You want to connect LightMyBricks to your LEGO Powered Up Hub? Or your LEGO Power Functions? Or even your older LEGO 9V system?
No problem!
Recently a customer asked us if it is possible to create a LEGO 9V Connector to a LightMyBricks2.0 connector? He wanted to add lighting to his LEGO Train which gets power via the tracks (aka the LEGO 9V System).
We do have our default USB Socket Cable which converts from LEGO Powered Up or LEGO Power Functions to a USB-A plug. You can then connect your USB lighting to it for power. This works great but for various reasons and challenges we have not yet made it for the LEGO 9V System. But this is something we can solve. No problem.
Another request from the customer was if we can make a direct conversion from 9V connector to LMB2.0 (so without the USB part) as this big USB connector would most likely not fit in his LEGO train model. After some research on our side we could confirm that this was possible as well. No problem.
So in the end we made a very compact adapter cable in which our custom electronics will convert the plus or minus 9V from the LEGO connector to a stable 5V which is required by the LightMyBricks system. Perfect!
This was a very satisfying project to thinker about and make and it is one of the many examples where our customers come up with their own wishes and requirements on our already existing LEGO compatible electronic products.
Just remember that your wishes and requirements are the challenges we love to solve for you :)
