After doing many years of Great Ball Contraptions we have always been wondering how it would be to have GBC Balls go upside down. Creating a looping with LEGO is very hard and it will never be perfect. Until now! Meet the GBC Looping! Taking out the problematic curve part as the shapes are just to complex.
That’s why we decided to make our own!
100% LEGO Compatible
Our GBC Loopings are unique 3D printed parts with a complex shape which gives a complete new swing to your GBC Balls. As the LEGO Technic builders that we are, we know what to look for when designing new parts and how to make the building experience with GBC Loopings great! During development we tested many, many prototypes to get to this perfect shape and feel. By doing so we were able to create a beautiful slick curve shape design which works perfectly for GBC Balls. A smooth input transition makes sure that every ball enters the GBC Looping perfectly to get the most energy out of it. By creating a good ramp you can get the perfect swing on your GBC Balls and the looping will never fail. We added many connection possibilities on all sides to make sure that you can easily attach the GBC Loopings in many different and diverse ways. In this way the GBC Loopings are 100% LEGO compatible.
The GBC Loopings are made from high quality material and printed with a very precise layer thickness and a decent infill. This results in a beautiful solid part with a perfect curve shape.

The GBC Looping consist of 2 identical parts which have to be clicked together to create the complete GBC Looping. These 2 halves are joint by 3 black LEGO Technic pins, the ones that every LEGO Technic set includes extras of. When the GBC Loopings are used in our models we will make sure these pins are left over to use.
In our GBCs we use the GBC Loopings as an additional optional part to make the GBCs even more fun and engaging to watch.

I can watch my gbc balls go round and round forever haha and I love how they just click into each other. I first used them in the GBC 45 as intended but quickly also started to design my own gbcs using the looping. It is smart to have a backup plan in case a ball cannot make the full loop. I started with a similar design like gbc 46 and 45 which works for me.
