It has never been easier to build a complete Great Ball Contraption (GBC) loop yourself! GBC 17 is entirely built using only parts from the LEGO Technic Heavy Lift Helicopter set and uses 95% of all the pieces that come with it. Also to be referred to as model C of the 42052 Heavy Lift Helicopter. This module makes sure you master the GBC building techniques and tricks so that you eventually also can build your own GBC. The whole machine is powered by one LEGO motor which comes with the LEGO 42052 Set.
Up and down, up and down
This GBC takes maximal profit out of the 6 blades that come with the set, using them as lift arms. The elegant slim design in combination with the perfect relative movement of the blades make that this GBC is truly unique! The ball flow is controlled by a timings mechanism which is operated by the first wing blade. Get creative and change the layout in how the GBC Balls come down the hill by placing obstacles down the way. Batteries can easily be replaced. Definitely a fun way to explore the wonderful world of GBCs!

My first GBC. Well, it’s really impressive to see how an helicopter could transformed into a stuff with balls. And all works fine ! Before starting, I wondered how balls could stay right on wings, but indeed they are well catched ! I just needed to adjust one gear so that timing of wings is correct, and another one onto ball delivery. That’s all. Good job !

My first big GBC so was excited to get it built. I personally had a problem downloading the instructions and I’m pleased to say that the PV-Productions support help was available to fix the problem. Thank you again. This is a very nice build and some of my friends who have seen it are impressed at how the balls manage to move from on section to the next. One pointer I would give is to ensure the helicopter planes are straight and not bent due to age. Managed to straighten mine and the contraption works a dream after a few weeks. As Clint Eastwood says. … I will be back

SOOO MESMERIZING!!! Enjoyed the build a lot! Hope there will be another one for this set.
If you don't have the required LEGO set there is still a chance you can build our models by using parts you already have. Most technic models use a lot of the same and/or replaceable parts.
When watching the video and checking upon the building instructions you can easily see which parts can be replaced if you desire so. What cool color designs can you come up with?!
v1 15-05-2017: Launch
v2 07-06-2017: We included the length numbers for axles, beams and other parts. A high requested feature which is really usefull while building. We also made some changed in the building steps for a better building experience. Make sure to get this update.
v3 28-11-2017: We improved the building experience by showing the steps in more logical order with extra side information when needed. Now the building instructions have consistent page numbering. We incorporated a security feature which adds a password to the building instructions and links it to your account.
v4 23-12-2017: Updated watermarks & increased image size for a better building experience.
v5 25-06-2018: Update building instructions to new standard
