Monique Simon from Luxembourg build one of our latest GBCs, the GBC 48 Placer Mining Line. This great effort and building skill completed with a nice video of the GBC in action makes our day. Great job.
At the end of last year Beyond Blocks held a LEGO event where children could build and learn engineering using LEGO. To accomplish this they used our GBCs and other models in various ways. Below are a few words form the Beyond Blocks organizers.
Quote from Andy Hoang (Beyond Blocks):
At Beyond Blocks sessions, children build LEGO models and learn programming and engineering but there’s a lot more to that they do.
In every session, Beyond Blocks also work on developing children’s presentation and communication skills by getting them to present what they’ve been building to their peers.Where possible, children are given ways to use LEGO in more high profile scenarios. This week, 2 of our students presented models that they built at a public event, run by The BRICK People. They spent hours behind the scenes building, fixing and solving problems and finally brought their creations along to display and present at Cranleigh Arts centre in the UK.
I’m feeling proud of both Ben and Ethan, who were on both hand for most of the morning, showing their machines to over 200 attendees. At the end of the session, each one got a limited edition Event Brick from the host, which are usually reserved for adult exhibitors, and I heard the best quote of the year from one boy who had watched PV-Productions model (build by Ethan) for hours…“This model has just inspired me to go home and look at all my LEGO differently. I’m going to take it all apart and challenge myself to build something like this. I’ve never seen anything like it and I want to create one myself”
That’s what we’re really about. Although it looks like we build LEGO models, what we really do is build great people using LEGO.
Ethan, a 11 years old boy and future engineer, shined away with his build of our GBC 21 Mine Factory. A fab achievement! See his video here below:
I want to give a HUGE shout out to PV-Productions – Where technology is the drive, who’s amazing models have given our students so much pleasure this year. If you want a tip from me for Christmas, don’t buy any new LEGO, just pop over to their shop at https://pv-productions.com/ and make something really cool from a LEGO set you already own. Their models are of the highest quality and their instructions are really well made.
If you’re one of my students, let me know if you do decide to do this, and maybe you can earn your first Event Bricks at a show in 2023!
PV-Productions: Thanks for the nice words and sharing these great events with us. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves and we fully stand behind your words:
Although it looks like we build LEGO models, what we really do is build great people using LEGO.
Vinh Tran from Germany recently build our GBC 48 Placer Mining Line and created this epic movie of it.
To describe it in his own words he shared with us: This GBC has one major issue, it is too awesome! My son loves that!
Thanks for sharing with us!
Do you also have the LEGO 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator? Why not give this GBC a try?
We like this one a lot. Monique Simon from Luxembourg send us her fan build of our GBC 47 Mill Madness in full operation.
This machine build from LEGO set 42114 links back to our personal roots which is millers.
Thanks for sharing with us Monique! Also want to share your fan build. You can do so via our upload page.
