Throwback Thursday! – GBC 18 Port Factory

“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live” ~ A. Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling)

But who said, you can’t do both at the same time? Time for a Throwback Thursday!

Going through our archives, I found this gem: the GBC 18 Port Factory. As you can see in the video below, this GBC has a great collection of modules, which got me very excited! Thanks to the quite specific parts of the original LEGO Set, unique modules could be implemented into this GBC.

For starters there is the Seesaw Module, where different directions in the Seesaw are used to use Gravity to lead the GBC balls in the right direction only to release them when the rope linked to the end of the seesaw is pulled tight. Next up: the Wing Push Module, which is used to push the GBC balls uphill.  Then there is the Tilting Bucket Module, where the balls take place in the transparent bucket  transporting them vertically with an ingenious mechanism. Last up is my personal favorite module: the Tilting Bucket Module! Within this module, the nose of the original boat is transformed into a bucket, which tilts after being filled with 3-4 balls, dropping the balls onto the platform to start all over again!

Mechanical Monday – Direction Switch Mechanism

In today’s Mechanical Monday, we will be discussing the Direction Switch Mechanism. As not everyone may be familiar with the use of the Direction Switch Mechanism, I would like to start with a (brief) introduction before going into depth on the working mechanism. However, feel free to skip the introduction, if you feel familiar with the topic!   Recently we launched our GBC 42 Linear Loco Lifters. Within this GBC, two arms are used for lifting the GBC balls up into the air, enabling them to gather speed going downhill before entering the Turbo Spin Funnel. See the GBC in…

Hello! Is it me you were looking for?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

May we present our very own brand new content creator:

*Drum roll*

Ilke Eggen!

Hi everyone! It’s very nice to meet you! Let me (briefly) introduce myself: as you have already read, my name is Ilke. I’m born and residing in the Netherlands, where I got in touch with PV-Productions. I myself am actually working within the medical field, but as I believe one should be oriented not just on one field of expertise, I gradually integrated into PV-productions. I came up with some really refreshing ideas for the social media, which eventually resulted in me becoming the new content creator (a.k.a. social media ninja). Over the upcoming weeks I will therefore launch some new ideas and posts. I hope you like them! If you have any comments or tips, feel free to share them, as I would very much like to know what you think!

I am looking forward to get in touch with you and provide you with all kinds of new content! Check out our social media pages over the upcoming weeks to find out what new ideas I’ve got in mind!

Meet the rest of the team.
