Free Great Ball Contraption Workshops

In collaboration with Sioux Technologies we are organising Great Ball Contraption Workshops on 23 October 2024.

Sioux Technologies brings high-tech to life, contributing to a society that is healthy, safe, smart, sustainable and more fun. They develop complex high-tech systems with advanced Software, Mathware, Electronics and Mechatronics. The GBC workshops are an effort to make the youth enthusiastic about technology and providing them the tools to become the engineers of the future. What better way than using GBCs as they make a stamp in technical education (Steam).

The workshops are free of charge and it lasts 2 hours.
Location: Sioux Technologies, Esp 101, Eindhoven, The Netherlands

It takes two (to make a thing go right)

Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock’s already said it in 1988. It takes two (or more) to make a thing go right. And we believe they originally wrote it for our Powered Up Splitter Cable ;)

With the new LEGO Powered Up system, builders are limited to only connect 1 motor/light to a single hub output. In many cases this results in running out of ports or just missing the power for your creation.
But fair no more. Our Powered Up Splitter Cable comes to the rescue. Connect for example 2 train motors to a single hub output and double the power of your locomotive! Or for GBCs use fewer hubs to power all your modules!

We have 2 versions available, both serving a different purpose. You can read all about them on the product page.

How to get started with GBC?

The well known Bricknerd.com recently published an article in which they go in depth on how to get started with Great Ball Contraptions.
One of the topics involved the LEGO Powered Up System. That is where we are being featured with our USB Power Boxes, Powered Up extension cables and adapters. This makes all LEGO systems instantly compatible with each other. How handy!
