It has never been easier to build a complete Great Ball Contraption (GBC) loop yourself! The GBC 39 Chain Sweeper features an army of sweeper arms which move the GBCs up in a chain. The GBC can be used as a self contained loop or participate in a GBC layout. Using a more accessible LEGO Education Set and focusing on one single mechanism this GBC is by far one of the best GBCs to get started.

This GBC is entirely built using only parts from the LEGO Simple & Powered Machines set and can be referred to as model C of the 9686. This GBC makes sure you master the GBC building techniques and tricks so that you eventually also can build your own GBCs.

unique building techniques

There are many beautiful things in life but the best must be the 8 perfectly synchronized sweeper arms of the GBC 39 Chain Sweeper which form a chain, pushing the GBC Balls up a hill. After building the module, the fun really starts in getting the timing to pitch perfect (more information in the building instructions). While doing so you will understand the mechanisms even better and the satisfaction of getting it right in the end is all worth it. Optionally you can add the GBC Funnel Turbo Spin which makes the complete module even more engaging to watch. It is possible to connect the GBC 39 Chain Sweeper to other modules and create a big loop. Batteries can easily be replaced.
