Are you just beginning with GBC building? Then this is the getting started GBC for you!
It has never been easier to build a complete Great Ball Contraption (GBC) loop yourself! This GBC is entirely built using only parts from the LEGO Technic Crawler Crane set and uses 90% of all the pieces that come with it. Also to be referred to as model C of the 42042 Crawler Crane. This module makes sure you master the GBC building techniques and tricks so that you eventually also can build your own GBC. The whole machine is powered by one LEGO motor which comes with the LEGO 42042 Set.

With great flexibility comes great responsibility

The perfect GBC to get started in GBC building! Belt lift modules are really familiar all around the internet. What makes this module so special is the extra functionality, flexibility and that it can also act as a self-contained module.

By default the GBC Balls go up on the first conveyor. When entering the second conveyor belt you have the option to change the angle of the conveyor in X and Y direction by turning on 2 handles. The second conveyor belt has a 230 degree of freedom in X direction and 80 degree of freedom in Y direction. This has the huge advantage that this module fits to almost every other module you already build. If you don’t have any other GBC modules then there is the option to guide the balls back to the beginning of the Belt Lift Module so it is a self contained GBC Module. By the use of a clever slide and guide mechanism, the balls will always stay in track!
This GBC Module consists out of two main parts which you can easily click apart. This makes it really easy to transport the GBC around.

The battery box is locked in place by a neat handle. By moving this handle up you can really easily take out the battery box and replace the batteries. The batteries also have a double function as they are used as counterweight for the extended second conveyor belt.

If you don't have the required LEGO set there is still a chance you can build our models by using parts you already have. Most technic models use a lot of the same and/or replaceable parts. When watching the video and checking upon the building instructions you can easily see which parts can be replaced if you desire so.
What cool color designs can you come up with?!
