Who has not dreamed of it to create music themselves? It is by playing an instrument or by mixing tunes together on a computer. Now you can do both at the same time with our Record Blaster! The Record Blaster allows you to replay your favorite LP records and singles. So time to hit the attic, thrift store or flea market to find your LP Records and bring up some good memories ;)

This turntable is entirely built using only parts from the LEGO Simple & Powered Machines set and can be referred to as model C of the 9686 set.

Everyone can be a DJ now!

Control the speed and pitch, lower and lift the Turntable Needle, start and stop the turntable, experiment and have fun. Turning on the motor will start the Record Blaster. You can also rotate the Record Blaster by hand by cranking the lever. The worm wheel will automatically disengage you take over control manually. By rising the turntable needle arm you can position the needle above the desired track. Then lower the arm by pushing the mechanical lever down and music will play. To pause or stop the track you can lift the arm again or stop the motor/cranking. Again the worm wheel will automatically disengage and the turntable will come to a slow stop. A great and fun effect occurs when the Turntable Needle is still playing on the record. Batteries can easily be replaced.

There a 4 ways to control the speed of the Record Blaster and by that tuning the pitch of the music playing. More information in the building instructions.
1. We have made it really easy to change the gear ration from the motor to the turntable. Simply take out the gear racked beam and change the gear ration on it. Play along what with different speeds and pitched.

2. By cranking the higher lever you can add resistance to the drive axle. By doing so you can carefully slow down the turntable and lowering the pitch.

3. Of course when cranking the turntable by hand you can control the speed directly.

4. Using an adjustable power supply you can easily change the RPM (Rotation per Minute) of the motor.
